Still gets me from point A to point B with 28-30mpg depending on traffic. I have had her since it was only 30.5K on the odometer.
Same engine If yes that is impressive for your Hyundai

Same everything basically. I have to occasionally replace a spark plug because cylinder #4 is a little rough on it probably because the car burns oil. And of course I add a quart or two of oil every couple of weeks but I do drive a lot to and from work and the engine is pretty old.
@Noor
Amazing Try using a Berryman’s B12 piston soak or Valvoline Restore and Protect oil They can help clear out carbon buildup from the valves
I’m surprised the engine lasted this long considering the oil-burning issue in GDI engines
Aside from that oil burning problem the car was really nice But that engine issue was a deal breaker I wish I had known about the Valvoline oil before I traded it in
@Dale
I will give it a try I cleaned the valves about a month and a half ago with my friend he was spraying some foamy stuff while I kept the RPMs at 2000 but it seems like the car just started burning even more oil since then
You’re right the car is really nice I haven’t seen another with such a beautiful yet simple dashboard design And it’s comfortable for a budget car
@Dale
I just did a piston soak and am using Valvoline R&P going forward I won’t know how it’s helped for a little while though
@Noor
Nursing her along Gotta do what you gotta do
Oh no Hope you did not jinx it I bought a 2001 Sonata with 168k and thought it was high but it had a 6 cylinder so I thought it’s fine She ran smooth and after a full tune-up she was purring Driving home I saw her hit 200k and said Man she hit 200k and is still running great At a red light about 5 miles from home she stalled Would not start Had to push it aside and get towed Fuel pump failed True story
@Ren
The car was cursed from the moment I bought it - it had no idea the abuse I was about to put it through Not only do I drive at least 500 miles a week but I also load all my tools into every empty spot it has and now I pretend it’s a work truck Even when empty the rear sits so low now that I only have about 2 inches between the tire and the wheel well
Nice I hope I get that kind of mileage out of my Accent I bought mine new in 22 Almost 67k now with just a thermostat replacement and regular maintenance

About 500 miles a week all my jobsites are far from home
Lucky you don’t have an oil burning 2.4 engine Mine eats 4 qts every 3K miles with 80k miles total

That is exactly what I have I add at least a quart for every 1000 miles driven

That’s crazy I’ve got the 2015 2.4 and I have never had to worry about adding oil between changes I check it every few weeks or months and it barely loses anything I hear about them burning oil a lot but I never had an issue Hope I don’t jinx myself now lol
@Ridley
It started losing oil right after it hit 100,000 miles Before then I used to take it to the dealer for oil changes and they never mentioned any issues
Damn I don’t drive enough lol My 2015 isn’t even to 80k yet on the chassis and the bottom block was replaced under warranty at 53k so it only has about 27k on it Good to know that I’ve got another 120k on the car and 170k on the block lol
