TPMS Not Working After New Tires

I recently got a new set of tires installed. I’ve driven quite a bit since then, but the TPMS hasn’t reset.

Did your display show messages like “please drive to calibrate” or “please drive to read pressures”?

No, there’s been nothing showing up.

How long have you been driving? My Sonata doesn’t display the calibration message in the tachometer; you just need to drive it for a bit first to get a reading.

I drove it home from the tire shop, about a 20-minute drive, and then went out for another 15 minutes, but still no change.

As a last resort, you might want to disconnect the battery for a minute and then see if it resets. If that doesn’t work, I’d recommend going back to the tire shop for assistance.

I experienced the same issue. I was informed that if the TPMS sensors were on the original tire’s rims and I switched to different rims, it could cause TPMS errors. You might need to install new sensors on your new rims.

@Tate
That’s a very valid and logical point!
