I noticed this too on my '24 SEL hybrid!! I kinda just assumed the car was just made to start only with BlueLink and never bothered to ask my salesman.
It is only through the BlueLink app as far as I have seen on mine.
That’s odd… I have a 23 Convenience, and mine does have it, but tbh that’s a cute key fob.
It has remote start from the BlueLink application, which is free for life for Sonata 2024 owners. Been using it for a month now. It’s amazing.
I was told my Sonata 2018 Limited had heated rear seats; they lied all the time.

Told by who exactly? A salesperson?

I wouldn’t be surprised. I taught the saleswoman more about Hyundai cars than she knew herself. She was super friendly though, so I didn’t care.

Yes, and I brought up Carfax information too that he didn’t know, so I guess I should’ve known. Idk, just like you could’ve verified the info yk?
They also advertised the heated rear seats on Carfax.
@Nova
Should be going off of Hyundai’s website. Just Google “(year) and (model/trim) full specs.”

I mean you’re not wrong, but they should really be the experts and explicitly state it on Carfax, and verbally you would think it’s a fact. Just feeling a little bitter I got home to discover it not there.
@Nova
Yeah, that definitely sucks but this is why I do my own research, lol.
Years ago I looked at a Kia Forte, and they said it had cruise control; Kia’s website said it didn’t. They ended up saying I could add it on, which also wasn’t true, and got pissed when the deal fell through.
@Fin
Oh man, yeah definitely frustrating.

Weird. My 2017 Elantra Limited has heated rear seats, so I’d have expected Sonata would also. Then again 2018 I believe was Sonata’s mid-cycle refresh… perhaps they removed heated seats for 2018?
@Gray
Yeah I’m not sure, but I was pretty excited for those, and then I got home and noticed it wasn’t a thing.
There is an app for that now…ohh and give me your money.

He has a '24 so BlueLink is “free” for life.

And my ‘24 N has start through the app and on the key.
@Leith
Same with me N-line.
Hyundai wouldn’t even put a simple feature on their cars that made them harder to steal; you think they’re gonna spring for remote start?
