One Month of Ownership Review - 2024 Sonata N-Line

@Flynt
26k with less than 6k miles on it is a steal for a Sonata N-line! Basically 10k less than it was originally. I recently got a 2024 Elantra N-line for 30k OTD. I almost got a used 2023 Sonata N-line for 26k but it had 28k miles on it so I decided to just go with the new Elantra.

@Flynt
Very genuine, honest and very well said! Extremely underrated and in some cases underappreciated for the design, engineering and performance in a car in this price point! I’m very impressed too! Good luck and best wishes! PS4L!!! Go Steelers!!! It’s Lit!!! :fire::fire::fire::fire::fire::fire:

Since you mentioned, I just want to say that the Sonata isn’t available at all in Europe or the UK. Hasn’t been around for more than 10 years, although I’d probably get one if they sold it here.

You’re probably thinking Canadian/Australian market.

All in all it’s a gorgeous car, enjoy it.

@Jordan
Maybe Australian, I keep seeing videos of RHD versions of the car and it has way more features than the US version lol.

@Jordan
That does suck! I spent half of my 24-year military career in Europe, so I know this car would do well on the Autobahn and in and around village driving! I miss driving in Europe so much!!! Hopefully it’ll be available in Europe one day soon!!! PS4L!!! Go Steelers!!! It’s Lit!!! :fire::fire::fire::fire::fire::fire:

I test drove the 2024 Sonata N-line for an hour. Ended up getting the 2024 Elantra N-line. Both fun to drive but the Sonata is a little faster. The Bose subwoofer in the Sonata with the bass turned up definitely punches a lot harder than the Bose subwoofer in the Elantra.

These are the two mixtapes I played in the Sonata with the bass at 10:

@Ellis
I’m not understanding. If the Sonata was faster and better sound, why’d you get the Elantra?

Cuz I still really liked the Elantra plus it came with 18in tires. The Sonata has insane wheel spin. Plus it was 7k more when I was already losing some money for trading a 24 Kona SEL in after 3 months.

@Ellis
Months later… how are you liking or disliking the Elantra?

It’s still exciting every time I drive. The speakers are fantastic too. The DCT transmission isn’t as good as CVT in heavy traffic. My other car is a 15 Altima and it feels so much nicer getting back in the 24 Elantra N-line. It has plenty of power when needed and the suspension is engineered well too.

The new Civic hybrid looks like a solid contender. I plan on test driving it soon. The hatch version looks a lot better than the sedan one imo.

It’s the only car I’ve driven where people seriously have complimented my car or asked me “what the hell is that?”

Same. I’ve received tons of compliments on mine; feels cool sometimes! Lol.

Do these have ventilated seats or AC seats?

Not in the US versions unfortunately. European spec ones and I think Canadian spec ones do though.

That sucks.

Canada doesn’t have ventilated seats (just heated). It does have a heated steering wheel and rear vents though.

Only the limited hybrid trim.

How is the Bose audio?

Awesome, especially on higher volumes. It’s better than the Harman Kardon in my mom’s '22 Santa Fe Limited imo, but I think the sound system that surprised me the most out of any car was the B&O in a fully loaded '23 F150. Wanna try Mark Levinson in Lexus and B&O in Audi.

@Jordan
Good to hear, the Bose in the Ioniq 6 was pretty bad imo, but I think the Sonata iteration has more speakers.

I have a ML in my '09 ES350. Really love it! It has spoiled me; I can’t go back to base audio anymore.

@Tate
Yeah, I don’t think I’ll ever get a base audio car for a daily. I remember when the car first came in I already wanted it, but I got a chance to sit in it and play around with it. I put all the windows up and cranked the music, and that’s what made me go “I need this car” lol.

Have you used the launch control yet? It really puts you in the seat!
